Privacy Policy

Introduction

This policy describes what information is handled by the Tides Pro application (the "App"), by Natural Apps, and by this website. The App is built on the principle of privacy by design: everything that can be computed on your device is computed on your device.

In short

Tides Pro has no accounts, uses no trackers or advertising, and sends no data to servers of our own — because we have none. Tides, coefficient, indexes and astronomy are computed entirely on your iPhone.

Information we collect

  • Personal data: none. The App requires no registration and includes no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
  • Contact data: only if you email us do we see your address and the content of your message, which we use solely to reply to you.

Local storage and App Group

Your preferences — selected port, favorites, chosen profile and settings — are stored locally on your device. If you use the Apple Watch, widgets or the Live Activity, that data is shared between the App and its extensions through an App Group within your own device; it never passes through any server of ours.

Location

If you grant permission, location is used on-device only to suggest nearby ports. You can revoke it at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.

How we use data

Local data serves exclusively to make the App work: remembering your port, computing its tides and showing you the forecast. Nothing else.

Third-party services

  • Apple Weather (WeatherKit): for the weather forecast, the App asks Apple for the weather at the coordinates of the port you view. That processing is done by Apple under its privacy policy.
  • Apple Maps (MapKit): place search and preview maps use Apple's MapKit.

There are no other external services: no analytics SDKs, no ad networks, no tracking pixels. We do not share, sell or transfer data to third parties.

Retention and deletion

We retain no data on servers, because there are none. Your preferences live only on your device and are deleted when you remove the App. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to help you; you can ask us to delete them at any time.

Security

Since no personal data is transmitted to servers of our own, the risk surface is reduced to the device itself, protected by iOS security mechanisms (system encryption, app sandboxing).

Children's privacy

The App collects no data from any user, including children, and contains no inappropriate content.

GDPR

As it processes no personal data, the App requires no legal basis for processing under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). For support emails, the controller is Natural Apps and the basis is your request; you can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure and the others recognized by the GDPR by writing to natural.learning.apps@gmail.com.

Cookies on this website

This site uses no cookies and no analytics. It only uses functional local storage (localStorage) to remember the port you choose in the live tide strip — a technical use exempt from consent. There is nothing to accept or reject.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will publish the updated version on this page with its revision date.
